OPERATIONS OFFICER

Parks and Recreation / Parks Administration

Starting Salary:  $56,056.00 annually

Reports to:  Director of Parks & Recreation           Open Until Filled - Review of Applications Begins Immediately

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Operations Officer is responsible for the leadership and management of assigned operations and initiatives in the Parks and Recreation Department. Performs complex and managerial duties required to direct the operations of the Parks and Recreation Office, including supervision of staff; administrative policy development; works with Director, Assistant Director and Division Head’s on various projects.  This position performs complex organizational and administrative work. The Operations Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, to include cash handling and daily operations in all facilities and divisions of the Parks and Recreation Department. 

Education/Training/Experience:  

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from a recognized college or university in parks and recreation administration, public administration, business administration, or closely related field, and a minimum of five years senior level administrative, preferably including three years managerial experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
