Job Description

LIGHT TECHNICIAN         (Temporary/Seasonal Non-Benefit)          Starting Salary: $13.00/hr

Position Description: Responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating lighting equipment and systems in a safe and consistent manner for Arts in the Park performances at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park from June to July. Performances generally occur on Fridays, but can take place any day of the week. Responsibilities will include inspecting and maintaining lighting equipment and updating maintenance and inspection records as directed. Must develop a thorough knowledge of all lighting equipment in order to operate equipment safely. Must maintain a flexible schedule for work calls and perform all other job related duties as requested. Will work with high amperage/voltage electricity and transport and handle heavy equipment and loads. Working knowledge of current lighting technologies required. Must have ability to work independently, or as part of a team. Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have approximately 12-15 hours of availability per week, including Fridays and weekends.
