Job Description

Group Fitness Instructor    

(Temporary / Part-time)    Starting Salary: $10.00/hr 

Open until filled – Review of Applications Begins Immediately

The essential functions:

¡¤        Arrive 10-15 minutes before class time to set up equipment for group fitness class including speaker, in a safe manner.

¡¤         Greet participants as they walk in and make Douglass Center announcements at end of classes if needed in a respectful manner.

¡¤         Must be able to teach a full body strength workout class

¡¤         It is preferred if able to instruct other formats with appropriate certifications/licenses (strength & endurance, kettle bells, boot camps, H.I.I.T., Zumba®, STRONG by Zumba®, Tabata, Step, dance fitness, pilates, yoga, core work).

¡¤         Must be able to cue safe alignment and demonstrate proper exercises.

¡¤         Lead the class in an enthusiastic and/or be passionate manner.

¡¤         Provide own music appropriate to the type of format being taught (i.e., Zumba®, STRONG by Zumba®, Insanity, PiYO, H.I.I.T., etc).

¡¤         Be able to lift 40 lbs.

¡¤         Maintain certification and continuing education to help stay current with fitness trends

¡¤         Represent Douglass Center in a respectable manner.

Must be 18 years or older.
