Job Description

STORMWATER ENGINEER 

Public Works/Engineering

Reports to:   Principal Civil Engineer     Open Until Filled

Salary Range:  $63,876.80 - $101,566.40  Depending on Qualifications

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Stormwater Engineer directs, develops plans, manages, and coordinates the design and implementation of public storm sewer system improvements for the City of Manhattan. This position is fiscally responsible for the management of the stormwater fund. The Stormwater Engineer is responsible for the design and maintenance of records and files for engineering projects as assigned. Reviews infrastructure plans, plats and drainage studies prepared by consultants; provides highly responsible and complex administrative and technical support to the Principal Civil Engineer.

Required:  Education/Training/Experience

Graduation from an accredited University with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and possession of an Professional Engineers License in the State of Kansas, or the ability to obtain a professional engineering license in the State of Kansas within 6 months of hire or promotion into this position.
