Job Description

YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAM SUPERVISOR   (Temporary/Seasonal   Non-Benefit)

Starting Salary:  $9.00/hour   Open until Filled - Review of Applications Begins Immediately

Position Description

The essential function of this position is supervising Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball.  This would include setting up facilities and fields, supervising the programs participants, spectators and staff.

Responsibilities

  1. Opening and preparing facility for use prior to arrival of participants, spectators and staff.
  2. Supervision of other staff members and making necessary changes in officials and scorekeepers schedules if needed.
  3. Welcome staff, players, coaches and spectators as they arrive.
  4. Observe staff, participants, coaches, spectators and all aspects of the game and facility.
  5. Ensuring rules, policies and procedures are being observed and followed.
  6. Respond to all incidents, accidents and injuries.  Document and report.
  7. Keep facilities clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  8. Observe and track severe weather.  Make necessary decisions.
  9. Closing responsibilities.
  10. Assist Recreation Supervisor/Activity Leader in other aspects of facility and programs.

Qualifications

  1. Some knowledge of sports preferred, but not required.
  2. Attend all scheduled meetings or training.

  8. Ability to work 15-30 hrs per week, with occasional weekends depending on the sport/season
